Global dialogues on ESG: markets, politics, and the path forward

Webinar promoted by ESGeneration Italy during the SRI Weeks

Webinar

Wednesday, November 5th

14:30 – 15:45 CET

In a time of growing geopolitical tension and signs of political slowdown on sustainability, financial markets are emerging as key spaces for innovation and progress. This webinar has reflected on the role of the sustainable finance community in advancing the goals of the 2030 Agenda. The discussion brought together perspectives from different continents to reflect on how different regions interpret current challenges and how markets are responding to political pressure on ESG, and what opportunities still exist to drive a forward-looking, globally connected sustainable finance agenda. Following this, the perspective of the Italian financial market has been presented, with contributions from representatives of leading institutional investors' associations. In a complex and fragmented context, renewed international cooperation and global alliances can offer a crucial path forward to sustain momentum and build a more resilient financial future.

The event is promoted by ESGeneration Italy, the Italian Network for Global Sustainable Finance. ESGeneration Italy has been launched in 2021 by Borsa Italiana (Italian Stock Exchange), the Italian Sustainable Investment Forum (ItaSIF) and the Italian Banking Insurance and Finance Federation (FeBAF) and it is part of FC4S.
